I think, the further chapters, the plot thickens. especially in the chapter 160++ ..
yeah, although it is difficult to understand if you do not read from the beginning, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle is a good manga to read.
I hope CLAMP will issue a new amazing manga !

An Anime With Cute Girls and Music: K-ON!

Posted by hoshitachi

Maybe it's a little late, but I want to make a short review and recommendation for the anime K-ON! (けいおん! Keion!). This anime is the adaptation of four-panel comic strip manga written and illusrated by Kakifly. The anime is produced by Kyoto Animation, so you won't suprise if you found the "a comedy anime with cute girls as main characters" formula, because before K-ON!, they produced Lucky Star which had the same formula.

The story is about four main girls; Hirasawa Yui, Akimiya Mio, Tainaka Ritsu and Kotobuki Tsumugi trying to save the Light Music Club (or called as Keion-bu) from being abolished. At first, there are only 3 members, and when Yui joined the club, they learned that Yui can't play instruments beside kastanyets, and she can't read music sheets.

They must teach Yui how to play guitar and how to read music sheets. They also have to search a club advisor so the club can be saved. They also have to join the school festival and performed to make their club noticed. They also have a new member, a junior named Nakano Azusa.

Overall, the story is funny and enjoyable to watch. The music is great, the animation is good, and the voice actor isn't bad too. Toyosaki Aki's childish voice goes perfect with her Yui voice, Hikasa Yoko did a really good job in Mio shy and
beutiful voice, Satomi Sato's cheerful voice is a match with Ritsu's personality. And Tsumugi gentle personality is perfect with Kotobuki Minako's voice.

OP theme: Cagayake! Girls by Toyosaki Aki, Hikasa Yoko, Satomi Sato and Kotobuki Minako
This song is somehow similiar with Motteke! Sailor Fuku (the OP theme of Lucky Star). But, in my opinion, I like this song better than Motteke! Sailor Fuku.

End Theme: Don't Say "Lazy" by Toyosaki Aki, Hikasa Yoko, Satomi Sato and Kotobuki Minako.

.A powerful and somehow "a bit dark" song. This song has a bit rock theme and Mio (Hikasa Yoko) is the lead vocal.

The insert song is great too, like Fuwa-Fuwa Time and My Love Is A Spaner. There are character songs for the characters, Yui, Mio, Ritsu, Tsumugi and Azusa. There's even Hirasawa Ui (Yui's younger sister) and Manabe Nodoka (Yui's childhood friend). And there's a single by Yamanaka Sawako's (the club advisor) band, Death Devil.
